This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for the Tangibles companion site, operated by TheRoad. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this website.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to and collect information that you voluntarily give us via registration, email, or other direct contact. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.

We will use your information to respond to you regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request.

If you have opted in to receive communications, we may contact you via email to share updates about the book, new tools and resources, or changes to this privacy policy. You may opt out at any time.

Your Access to and Control Over Information

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via email:

• See what data we have about you, if any.
• Change or correct any data we have about you.
• Have us delete any data we have about you.
• Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

Registration

In order to access companion site tools and references, a user must complete the registration form. During registration you are required to provide an email address and password. This information is used to authenticate your access and, if you opt in, to contact you about updates, new resources, and related services.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information. Authentication is handled by Supabase, a third-party authentication provider that encrypts and transmits your credentials securely. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext. We do not store credit card or payment information.

Only authorized personnel who need the information to perform a specific function are granted access to personally identifiable information.

Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and local storage for two purposes:

• Functional — to maintain your authentication session so you remain signed in between visits.
• Analytics — to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the site. These cookies are set by the analytics services described in the next section.

We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking.

Analytics and Session Measurement

We use two third-party services to measure how the site is used, so we can improve the content and tools:

• Google Analytics 4 — collects aggregate pageview and event data (for example, when a tool is opened or completed). Google may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* in your browser. See Google's privacy policy.
• Microsoft Clarity — records anonymised interaction data (clicks, scrolls, mouse movement, navigation) to produce heatmaps and identify usability problems. Text you type into forms, including passwords and email addresses, is masked and not recorded. Microsoft may set cookies such as _clck and _clsk. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Both services receive your IP address as part of standard web requests; both process it only to infer approximate location and to provide the analytics service. You can block these scripts at any time by using a browser extension, enabling your browser's built-in tracker protection, or installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Your right to request access, correction, or deletion of your data (described above) applies to the data these services process on our behalf.
